Smith, McDonald, Vaught & Rudolph, LLP has been representing clients, both large and small, throughout Oregon since 1935. We pride ourselves in providing experienced, responsive and effective legal representation. Our three partners collectively have over 90 years of legal practice experience in areas ranging from real estate and business transactions, civil litigation in the trial and appellate courts, contract collections, estate planning to trust and probate administration.
We have extensive experience in dispute resolution in a broad category of areas which include contracts, real estate, will contests, trusts and trust administration, financial elder abuse, shareholder disputes, construction claims, evictions (both commercial and residential), agency licensing and employee discharge claims, to name a few. Dispute resolution ranges from negotiated settlements, with or without the use of mediation, to arbitration and civil litigation.
Our business practice includes business entity formation, corporate compliance, business asset purchases and sales, private financing and regulatory compliance.
Our firm does not practice social security disability, worker’s compensation, medical malpractice or immigration law.
We have the skill and experience to analyze a client’s legal needs, even when that might include an area outside of our firm’s practice. If our attorneys cannot assist a client, we can often refer them to other attorneys that may better suit their needs. Most often, however, due to the wide range of our firm’s practice, we can provide the legal services required.
